Functions

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Utkal University of Culture is committed to promoting a culture of quality and excellence in accordance with the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The Cell serves as the University’s nodal agency for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and institutionalizing quality assurance initiatives across academic and administrative domains.

In pursuit of its mandate, the IQAC undertakes the following functions:

• Develop and apply quality benchmarks for academic and administrative activities.
• Promote a learner-centric environment and innovative teaching-learning practices.
• Encourage faculty development and capacity-building programmes.
• Collect, analyse, and utilize stakeholder feedback for quality improvement.
• Disseminate information on quality assurance policies and best practices.
• Document quality initiatives, institutional achievements, and best practices.
• Organize workshops, seminars, conferences, and quality awareness programmes.
• Prepare and monitor Institutional Development Plans (IDPs) and quality policies.
• Coordinate quality-related activities across all departments and units.
• Promote the adoption and dissemination of institutional best practices.
• Facilitate academic and administrative audits and quality reviews.
• Encourage research, innovation, consultancy, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Promote the use of ICT and e-governance in academic and administrative processes.
• Prepare and submit the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to NAAC.
• Coordinate activities related to NAAC accreditation and other quality assessment frameworks.
• Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement and institutional excellence.
