Introduction

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Utkal University of Culture has been established as the University’s central quality assurance and quality enhancement mechanism in accordance with the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The Cell functions as an institutional framework for promoting excellence in academic, administrative, research, extension, and governance practices through systematic planning, implementation, monitoring, and continuous evaluation.

Quality enhancement being a continuous and dynamic process, the IQAC serves as a catalyst for developing a culture of quality across all academic and administrative units of the University. It facilitates the institutionalization of quality assurance mechanisms, encourages innovation and best practices, and promotes evidence-based decision-making to achieve sustainable institutional development.

Genesis

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Utkal University of Culture was established on 1 October 2024 as a post-accreditation quality sustenance initiative. The IQAC Committee is consituted and periodically reconsituted in accordance with the guidelines issued by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), ensuring representation from all key stakeholders of the University.

Since its establishment the Cell (IQAC) has been actively engaged in developing quality benchmarks, coordinating institutional quality initiatives, promoting academic excellence, strengthening governance, and facilitating the University accreditation and quality assurance processes.
